Crystal Lakes have tagged 21 fish for prize money competition fishing. Why not check out their new 8 acre lake. A massive investment has been made in the construction of this lake and it is now ready for the public to try. And what a better way to start than to give away these fantastic prizes.

It only costs £10 for a day ticket (8.30 - 4.30)
There is £6,000 in prize money being handed out to promote the new lake. They have WiFi fishing pegs too!
The prize fish are:
- 10 @ £50
- 5 @ £100
- 2 @ £250
- 2 @ £500
- 1 @ £1000
- and the big one @ £3,000
All these fish have been tagged with coded, fish friendly tags. You may continue fishing after 4.30 but any tagged fish caught will be null and void.
General Information:
Crystal Lakes has a caravan and camping park, excellent carp and coarse fishing lakes and rental facilities for special events like fetes, wedding receptions and fairs. There is also a car boot and Sunday market.
The park covers around 12 acres of meadowland and small but beautifully mature fishing lakes. The site is very picturesque and although completely secluded is only a mile from the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon. The village of Fenstanton is 10 minutes walking distance and the historic market town of St Ives is 25 minutes.
Fishery Information:
Coarse and carp fishing on two lakes is available at Crystal Lakes
At approximately 2 acres, Lake "A" is the largest of the two lakes and has a good selection of coarse fish.
Mixed catches of 60 lb plus are possible on Lake “B”, while on Lake “A” Carp from 15 to 25 lb are often caught with the largest recorded Common and the largest recorder mirror weighing in at 31lb.

Please note that an Environment Agency rod licence is required to fish Crystal Lakes.
Fishery Rules:
The welfare of the fish at Crystal Lakes Fishery, the comfort of their guests and a general concern for maintaining the environment are the main concerns. All visitors are requested to familiarise themselves with the fishery rules before fishing. Anyone found breaking any of these rules will be asked to leave the fishery.
- Barbless hooks only
- Landing nets to be dipped in tank provided
- NO children under 14 to fish the lakes
- Day tickets to be purchased before fishing from the office or café. Persons fishing without a valid ticket will be asked to leave the site
- Fish to handled with care and returned to the lake immediately
- Anyone removing fish from these lakes will be prosecuted without exception.

How to find Crystal Lakes Leisure Centre:
The village of Fenstanton is halfway between Cambridge and Huntingdon on the A14.
From the South - Bypass Cambridge and take the A14 towards Huntingdon; leave the A14 eight miles further on at Fenstanton, Junction 27.
From the East – From the A14 bypass Cambridge and leave the A14 eight miles further on at Fenstanton.
From the West – (Bedford) and from the South A1 take the A428 towards Cambridge , then A14 towards Huntingdon, or cross-country take signs for St Ives on B1040 and Fenstanton.
From the West – ( Coventry ) – From M1 – A14 direct to Fenstanton eight miles South of Huntingdon.
From the North – Leave A1 approx. seven miles south of Peterborough, turn off at sign for A14 and M11; from there travel eleven miles to Fenstanton.

Fished this place twice, had a lot of small roach and bream its was ok for a days pleasure fishing while the good lady went shopping in St Ives just up the road. Some of the fish showed worrying bite marks/rips,damage and were covered in fungus, not sure if its otters or cormorants as they are both in the area we were told!.
